Maretron's USB100 is a gateway for bridging computers to an NMEA network. This allows you to use PC based vessel monitoring and control software like Maretron's N2KView ® or PC based navigation software. The gateway provides one simple connection between the network and the PC, which eliminates conventional multiplexers and the maze of wires. With the VCP driver installed, the USB device will appear as an additional COM port. To ensure that you have the latest USB drivers, download the files from the USB chipmaker's website or our website using the links below. Select the drivers appropriate for your operating system. For easiest installation, select the.exe file, if available. Maretron's products are designed to the open industry NMEA 2000 ® standard. - If your engine comes with a Yanmar panel, please note that all panels are not compatible. In recent years Yanmar has introduced a engine panel that utilizes the alternator Voltage for tachometer measurement, this will affect how the EMS100 reads and transmits tachometer readings at various RPM ranges.
- The EMS100 requires calibration and adjustment that can only be made using the DSM250 or the N2KAnalyzer.
- To ensure your engine is fully compatible with the EMS100 verify the engine has two Yazaki connectors and the criteria listed below:

Note: The EMS100 wire harness (part # - EMSYRM01) connects between the engine and instrument panel. Most modern Yanmar engines use the rectangular Yazaki connector, but you should verify the type of connector prior to considering purchasing the EMS100 or associated wiring harness.
